JCB Digger Rear Fabrication Welding Fixture
Home > Projects
Project overview
Incotech designed and manufactured a rear fabrication welding fixture for JCB diggers, used to accurately align and secure large steel pressings during manual welding operations.
Although substantial in size — comparable in weight and dimensions to a small car — this fixture represented a cost-effective solution for a low-volume production requirement, delivering precision and repeatability without unnecessary complexity.
the solution
We provided a robust and practical welding fixture tailored to the customer’s fabrication process:
-
Accurate Alignment – The fixture precisely positioned three large steel pressings to ensure correct geometry prior to welding.
-
Secure Clamping – High-quality Sandfield clamps provided reliable and repeatable location of each component during the weld process.
-
Ease of Operation – Once welding was complete, clamps were quickly released to allow simple removal of the finished assembly.
-
Durable Construction – The heavy-duty steel framework ensured long-term accuracy and stability under workshop conditions.
-
Cost-Effective Design – Engineered specifically to match the customer’s low-volume production needs, balancing performance and value.
Key Benefits
-
Precision: Ensures accurate alignment of large pressings for consistent weld quality.
-
Simplicity: Designed for straightforward manual operation.
-
Reliability: Heavy-duty construction withstands industrial use.
-
Efficiency: Quick clamping and release reduce setup time.
-
