A customer manufacturing large flywheels for diesel generator sets required a reliable method to check runout. Since flywheels must run concentric and true to avoid vibration, the checking process had to deliver high accuracy and repeatability.

The challenge was to design a bespoke chuck capable of securely holding these large, heavy components while ensuring precise concentricity during testing.
